Lagos is one of the world's biggest, most vibrant and complex cities. It is in Nigeria, a large nation on the coast of West Africa. Lagos was formerly the nation's capital, until government offices were moved to the center of the nation, to Abuja.

But big boisterous Lagos remains the heart of the nation, with huge cultural, media, sports, banking, tourist and international facilities.

Lagos is also the center of "Nollywood" [a play on the word Hollywood], the massive film industry of Nigeria.

"Nollywood" is the world's third largest film industry. The International Black Man Film Festival will be held right in the mix of Lagos's vibrant life.

In the United States of America, the state of Georgia has been synonymous with great home grown artistic expression over the decades. From James Brown to Usher Raymond, or Alice Walker to Pearl Cleage, Georgia produces artistic and media talent that is at the top of the class. So it is no surprise that Georgia would hail another shining light via the visionary mind of Atlanta native Tenisio Seanima, one who has played his part in preserving and enhancing the state's artistic legacy.

Seanima is most notably recognized for being the producer of the Atlanta-based radio program “The Shrine,” a music and dialogue program devoted to broadcasting positive, authentic music and discussion about the Pan-African community, and a former co-host of The Zain Hitzone.

In 2007, Seanima executive produced the Illumination Film Fest, which was devoted to grassroots, progressive, communal concerns, including cooperative economics, civil equality, metaphysics, cultural appreciation and development.

For 2010, Seanima is Assistant Director for Nigeria of the International Black Man Film Festival, bringing over 10 years of mass media experience to the festival’s staff. Seanima’s guides the African division of the IBMFF towards solidarity between industries such as Nollywood and Black Hollywood.

The IBMFF is proud to have Seanima on its faculty of seasoned veterans all working towards the enhancement of the global image of the black male.
